Getting started Library Collection Breeding Sharing Tokens Tips

Getting started

Wild Hybrids is an AI-powered creature-breeding game. You collect base animals, cross-breed them with AI to produce unique hybrids, and animate them into shareable videos.

Quick start (3 steps)

Tip: About 70% of generated creatures are junk, 20% are decent, and 10% are amazing. You only pay a token after reviewing the result and deciding to keep it — rejects are free.

Library

The Library is the catalogue of all base animals available in the game. You can search by name and filter by rarity.

Rarity tiers

RarityDescription
CommonEveryday animals. Good for learning the game.
RareLess common, notably stronger.
EpicPowerful specimens.
LegendaryThe rarest and most impressive creatures.
AggressiveHigh-energy animals with a fierce appearance.
ExoticUnusual creatures with striking looks.

Once you add an animal to your Collection, its card shows ✓ Owned and cannot be added again.

Collection

Your Collection holds every animal you own — base library animals and AI-generated hybrids alike.

Creature detail page

Clicking any creature opens its detail page where you can:

Lineage

Hybrids show their full lineage tree (up to 2 generations), so you can trace exactly which base animals were combined to create them.

Breeding

Breeding combines two of your animals using Google Gemini AI to generate a new hybrid creature with a unique image, name, description, and rarity.

How it works

Quality advice: Combine animals that are visually distinct — a snake and a peacock, for example, tend to produce more interesting results than two similar mammals. Higher-rarity parents can produce higher-rarity offspring, but it's not guaranteed.

For a full breakdown of breeding mechanics see the Crossbreeding Guide.

Arena

The Arena is a turn-based combat system where your creatures fight other players' creatures. Battles are fully deterministic — the outcome is decided by stats and a fixed seed, so replaying the same match-up always gives the same result.

Key points

For stat definitions, damage formulas, and strategy tips see the Battle Guide.

Sharing & the Feed

The Home feed shows posts from the entire community — images and videos of their creatures.

Tips & common questions

Why do some breeds look terrible?

AI image generation is probabilistic. Roughly 70% of results won't be what you hoped for. Because you can discard for free, the strategy is to keep breeding until you get something great.

Can I breed a hybrid with another hybrid?

Yes. Any two creatures in your collection can be bred together, including hybrids. Multi-generation hybrids often produce the most unusual results.

Does rarity affect battle power?

Yes — rarity determines the stat range each creature is rolled from. A Legendary creature will always out-stat a Common in raw numbers, but the deterministic battle system means every fight is still predictable from the stats.

How do I get more creatures in the library?

The admin team adds new base animals to the library regularly. Keep an eye on the community feed for announcements.
